Al Alamiya for Cooperative Insurance Company announces that its Board of Directors on Sunday 18/9/2011 corresponding to 20/10/1432 accepted the resignation of the Company's Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, Mr. Hassan Ali Nasser, from those positions and as a member of the Company's Board of Directors in his capacity as a representative of the shareholder (Royal & Sun Alliance Insurance (Middle East) Ltd E.C.) with immediate effect.
The Board of Directors has approved, subject to regulatory approval from the relevant authorities, Mr. Michael Jakeman, a former Director of the Company, to act as interim Managing Director until a permanent candidate has been identified and appointed for the position of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer. Further announcements will be made once the vacant board seat is filled and a permanent candidate has been appointed to these roles.
