RSA, world leading insurance group and one of the largest insurers in the region, has announced the appointment of Graham Dawson as Senior Risk Consultant and Ian McLaughlin as Risk Consultant, both servicing clients based in KSA and Bahrain. This announcement illustrates RSA’s commitment to developing its risk management proposition and supports its ambitious growth strategy for 2009.
 
Operating out of Bahrain, Graham will be responsible for facilitating and coordinating the group’s risk management vision, while Ian will be responsible for the key support and teamwork required in order to ensure successful outcomes of all risk initiatives.
 
Commenting on the new appointments, Mark Cooper, CEO KSA and Bahrain said: “Over the years, risk management has become a core capability within RSA’s business. Both Graham and Ian come with a wealth of skills and expertise that complement the high standards that RSA is known for, and we are proud to welcome them to the team. RSA has significant growth plans for the region, and strengthening our regional teams will help us to do just that.”
 
Prior to joining RSA, Graham held a number of senior management positions at various insurance companies, including Commercial Union, CGU and Mutual & Federal. Most recently, he spent three years as a Risk Analyst on the Risk Engineering Team of Alexander Forbes Insurance Brokers.
 
Ian joins RSA from Global Risk Associates in Bahrain where he held the position of Risk Surveyor and Advisor. He also spent three years at United Adjusting Services Middle East as Head of the Risk Surveying Department, and three years at Oldham Metropolitan Borough Council, UK where he provided risk management advice to all sections of the Council.
